Vehicle Assessment
One of our services to determine the modifications needed for a vehicle to suit its driver. For instance:
We can assess the need for wheelchair hoists for cars/vans and wheelchair restraint systems. Specific recommendations are given in terms of essential vehicle features and adaptations required. Exact adaptations will be frequently dependent on the make and model of the van chosen.
Assessment of a vehicle chosen by the client to determine its suitability for adaptation and to finalise exact adaptations and arrange for quotes. This is always carried out in conjunction with the client, the vehicle and the chosen Vehicle Adaptation Specialist. This is necessary to determine if there are any technical problems which will affect the costs and to make sure the proposed adaptations are technically possible.
Assistance with vehicle purchase is provided as required. Vehicles can be obtained to order from Auckland if the client wishes to pursue this option at no cost to the client or the Corporation. The objective is to save money or obtain the best deal for the funds available.
We also co-ordinate and oversee the assessment and adaptation process making sure the project is currently undertaken to the client’s satisfaction and my problems are resolved.
